The Wae Rebo Village Tour 2-Day, 1-Night (2D1N) Tour is an immersive cultural adventure to a remote, centuries-old traditional village tucked away in the highlands of Flores, sitting at 1,200 meters above sea level. Often called the “Village Above the Clouds,” Wae Rebo is world-famous for its seven iconic, cone-shaped traditional houses called Mbaru Niang, surrounded by lush green peaks and morning mists. This tour typically starts and ends in Labuan Bajo.

Day 1: Overland Journey & Trekking Through the Jungle

6:00 AM – 6:30 AM Pick-up at your hotel or Labuan Bajo airport by your driver/guide.

6:30 AM – 12:30 PM Overland journey from Labuan Bajo to Denge Village (approximately 5–6 hours). Along the way, the car will stop at a rest area or local restaurant for lunch.

12:30 PM – 1:00 PM Arrival at Denge Village (basecamp). Logistical preparation, rearranging luggage, and participant registration.

1:00 PM – 1:30 Pm Travel by motorcycle taxi (shuttle) from basecamp to Post 1 (the final stop for motorcycles).

1:30 PM – 4:30 PM The trek begins from Post 1 to Wae Rebo Village. The walk takes approximately 2 to 3 hours along a path through the tropical forest.

4:30 PM – 5:00 PM Arrive at the Wae Rebo Village gate. Enter the main traditional house (Rumah Gendang) to undergo the Waelu’u Ceremony, a welcoming ritual and granting of residence permission from the local traditional leader.

5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Assign beds in the conical house *Mbaru Niang*. Free time to enjoy warm Wae Rebo coffee, take photos, or interact with local residents.

7:00 PM – Finish Dinner with local dishes cooked by the villagers, followed by rest. If the weather is clear, the evening is the best time to view the Milky Way.

Day 2: Village Exploration & Return Trip

5:30 AM – 7:00 AM Wake up early to enjoy the misty village atmosphere, watch the sunrise over the hills, and take photos in the outdoor area with the iconic traditional houses in the background.

7:00 AM – 8:30 AM Breakfast together in the *Mbaru Niang* and prepare to descend the mountain.

8:30 AM – 11:00 AM Trek back down from Wae Rebo to Post 1, then take a motorcycle taxi back to Denge Village.

11:00 AM – 12:30 PM Rest, clean up/shower at the Denge Village basecamp, and have lunch.

12:30 PM – 6:30 Pm Overland journey back to Labuan Bajo. The tour operator will usually take you directly to your hotel or the airport. The tour concludes.
